A wedding in Jamberoo at St Matthew's Catholic Church followed by their reception in Stanwell Tops at Tumbling Waters Retreat. I can't express how much I enjoyed being part of the celebrations shooting this wedding.
Sidonia and Daniel's wedding was style and class from beginning to end.
Sarah and Pascal wed in the beautiful surrounds of Kangaroo Valley.
Kangaroo Valley is also one of the jewels of NSW. From the historic Hampton Bridge to the pristine waters that run underneath. They held the ceremony and reception at Baxter House at 251 Jacks Corner Rd.
Nestled in bush land this period style home is filled with antiques and charm oozes out of every room. The hosts were incredibly accomodating and the grazing table menu was delicious.
Katarina and Ben's Wedding on the Northern Beaches.
Constance and Aidan were married in Australia's oldest Anglican church parish St Philips York St. After the beautiful ceremony we headed to Observatory Hill which overlooks the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Then it was time to party and off we went to Wylie's Baths at Coogee. This place has some of the best views of any venue I've been. To top it all off we were blessed with a rainbow!
Colin and Amy had their Ceremony right on Mollymook Beach. A beautiful clean beach on the NSW South Coast. We were not sure if we could carry on after the weather started to close in on us. But in the end everyone agreed to just go ahead and brave the weather. Fortunately I carry some white umbrellas in the car for when rain looks likely. In the end the stormy skies were a blessing, as you can see we ended up getting a rainbow!
Lynette and Lee had their private ceremony and the Mormon Temple in Carlingford. The grounds of the temple are beautifully kept by a team of gardeners and was one of the most calming places I have been in a long time.
After makeing the most of the location we headed to Oatlands house and shot within the rose garden. The fountain was especially good when we used flashes to add some extra sparkle.
Dee and Chad chose Summer Hill Church for their ceremony. I would recommend this service to anyone with a good sense of humour, The minister was witty and sincere throughout the proceedings.
After the formal photos on location at thr church we headed to http://clarencehouseweddings.com.au/ and partied the night away. The staff at Clarence house were fantastic. Nothing was too hard for them and they were always willing to work with me to get the best results possible.
St Marys Cathedral is amazing and I feel absolutely privileged to be a part of Nate and Annabelle's Christening. The church frowns on flash photography so I was forced to push my two Canon cameras to their limits to get shots which are clean and sharp.
Christening Photography in Sydney
Thomas was Christened at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Earlwood. We also took some nice relaxed family photos at his home before hand and some after the church.
I said let's celebrate your fantastic curves and make you even more beautiful than you already are. A maternity session should be empowering.
Why is it a good idea to consult with your photographer?
Peter and Joyce wanted a vintage theme for their pre wedding images, they had a local park in mind. I'm familiar with the park and knew that at that time of year it didn't look its best. So I suggested another location still local to the couple, an old decommissioned brick works in Holroyd, Western Sydney. They were so happy they consulted with me and we created some beautiful images together. What value can you put on having your own style and personality captured for the following generations to enjoy? Imagine in 40-50 years sitting the grandkids down and showing them how cool you actually were a long time ago!
Dee and Chad decided on Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside for their Engagement photo session. They are having a big engagement party and they can use these photos we made for a slideshow or in a small album to display and show their guests. Dee has an amazing, vibrant personality and the vibe on this shoot was fantastic> She and Chad needed very little coaching from me and we had spent two hours before we knew it. Most of these were taken using an off camera flash held by my assistant James. This helps give some fill light in the shadows and adds definition to the photos. If these are the kind of images you need please contact me asap. Bookings are limited.
Engagement sessions are a great way to announce your wedding, they're also perfect for a slideshow presentation during dinner at your reception. All you need to do is be in love. Leave the rest to me! This session was held at Bicentennial Park in Homebush after consulting with Holly, she said she loves trees and nature, so this seemed like a perfect place. It was pretty busy on the day but my endless hours working on my Photoshop skills has allowed me to remove pesky visitors to be removed from the final images.
If you want photos like these then better contact me right now via the contact link on the home page.
Tony proposed on the Ferris Wheel at Sydney's Luna Park. So where else would they go to have their engagement session? We took advantage of the late afternoon light and were in the park as the lights came on. We managed to capture some motion in a few of the photos using my flashes and some long shutter speeds.
John proposed to Danni only a couple of months ago. They approached me for photos to celebrate their love for each other. We headed down to the reserve in the late afternoon to try and get the best light for flattering images. Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside is a great place to have a photoshoot. It has various areas with a different look and feel to them. Also the trees can provide just enough shade which allows me to manipulate the light to my liking. After we got the formal shots finished they stepped into the old blacksmiths hut and we had a bit of fun with some speedlights, lighting the inside and creating a moody backdrop.
Congratulations Danni and John!
Why does everyone need a Portrait or a Head shot these days?
Social media plays such a major role in communications today. Do you want people to see you looking your best? Do you want your LinkedIn profile to have a professional edge? Maybe you have relatives you don't see often because of distance? Call me today for a consultation and we can discuss why we need to make a beautiful and creative image. We can do it in studio, on location, or even at your own home if that's where you feel most at ease. It's my responsibility to capture and deliver an image that shows the world how awesome you really are.
My promise to you is to have you comfortable in front of any camera after a session with me. I'll teach you the secrets to posing, body position, eye contact, and that confidence those red carpet celebrities use to get those shots you see in magazines.
Models need portfolio photos
I try and do some variation on the theme when doing images for portfolio material. A different angle or edit can change the whole feel of a photograph.
I usually keep it fairly simple with one speedlight but sometimes it's good to get creative with light and let the artistic visions flow.
