Some people fish, some people knit, some people bake on their days off. I take photos. What else would I do? I like to hit the streets and find cool people and ask them if I can shoot them. Every now and then they say no, but that's ok the next person will let me. If you see me out I'll be really happy for you to come over and ask for a photo.
What's a street portrait? A street portrait is an unplanned portrait of a person in the street. Simple huh? I see someone who interests me and I approach them and ask if I can make their photo. The challenge in this is that I need to find the best light, get a good pose and coach a nice expression from a perfect stranger in less than 1 minute. To a dedicated photo nerd like me this is the ultimate high! So if you see me coming up to you with camera in hand you better expect me to ask. FYI everyone I photograph has the option of emailing me a request for the image to be sent to them at no charge.

The Australian landscape is so beautiful and varied. I could spend years just travelling the side roads looking for places to stop and stare at in awe.
The best time to photograph a landscape is early morning or late afternoon during the golden hour as the sun rises or sets. There's also a blue hour that happens briefly just before and just after this. But if you're somewhere awesome at midday what's stopping you?
